The AP Precalc review game where close enough is still wrong

One round from AP Precalculus — Unit 1: Polynomial and Rational Functions
Factor Theorem
A value is a root exactly when the matching linear expression divides evenly.
Root-divides-evenly
That is all they get — a hint, not the term the other four are holding — and they have to describe it first.
The Mole knows a root makes something divide evenly. They can describe dividing a polynomial and having nothing left over and sound right — while stating the remainder theorem, which is the general rule this one is a special case of. Close enough to pass for a minute, wrong enough to lose.
Recognizing a word is not knowing it
Precalculus is the year students stop being able to guess from the shape of the question. A theorem they can name but not state is one they will not be able to use next year.
